Characters
All characters must have an app before posting in the IC boards. If you want to create a head character (leader, deputy, med. cat, med. cat apprentice) remember you may only take two positions and not in the same clan. If you are a leader you cannot have another leader, same with deputy or medicine cat. All characters must be cats, no dogs, wolves, foxes, birds, humans, etc. allowed. After the plot goes further into place larger cats will be allowed (jaguars, panthers, pumas, even cheetahs and servals). Each character must be individual, have good and bad traits, and must follow all of the character rules. Your image for your character may be realistic photo (non photo-shopped) or can be drawn. Though if drawn it must be accepted by the head admin. No sketches or unorthodox colors. If you don't know how to draw find a realistic image. Your characters can be any gender, size, description, etc. Make it thorough and descriptive though. Don't just jot down something quickly, take your time on it. Wait 24 hours to contact a staff member about your application and don't tag anyone with it.
Because I know it will be an issue later on i'll post this here: ADMINS AND MODS do NOT have power to name a character. Its the clan leaders who name apprentices, warriors, elders, etc. The admin will continuously check up on them though, making sure that the names make sense. For example no names that cats don't know like Paperpaw or anything starclan related (dreampaw, soulpaw, etc.). This should be in the clan info section but since its a major pointer i'll post it here. Names ending in clan names are also not permitted such as brambleshadow or badgerwind.
We also recommend you create a thread tracker for each character where you put a link to your original app as well. This is useful when your apprentice is made into a warrior or warrior into deputy. Their is a thread limit for each rank and a thread tracker will help alot.
You may only create one character at a time. As soon as it's accepted another may be created. All characters must be warriors as of now. Once we have 2-3 warriors in a clan apprentices and other cats will be allowed.
Posting
This is an intermediate site, meaning no less than 200 words per post. Your posts should be checked for spelling and grammar. All posts should be in third person. Don't wait more than 3 days to reply to a post as that is considered rude. If you cannot reply to a post then simply tell the member so. Threads over two weeks old without a reply are moved to the archives. No cussing in your posts. In OOC you may use mild cussing, but no more. If your thread is open put [OPEN] on the title. If it's a closed one then put the person's name in the title (character's name). No double posting. If you want to add to something, then simply modify your first post. Don't mini-mod, or try and tell others what to do. If you see someone doing something wrong, then tell an actual staff member. Don't power-play, or make your character more powerful, beautiful, or perfect than all the others. Don't God-mod. This is when you try and control others' characters. Each one of the above will earn you a warning, then repeated offense will cause you to be banned. Don't post with text too hard to read. That means to bright a text or too small a text. Also it shouldn't be any bigger than size 2.
Activity
Every forum needs members to prosper. We are unlike most sites though. Instead of a boring thread saying you're here, on the 10th of every month there will be a thread posted up, which will be the Gathering. You'll simply make an rp post with your characters coming to the gathering. The thread will stay up for one week, but you only have to post once. You may post more than once of course but not required. LEADERS and other high positions must post in the gatherings or their spots will be replaced after the week is up.
Graphics
All forms of graphics are allowed at this forum. Signatures must be of your character and no bigger than 450x250. Avatars should be of your character but not required and are no bigger than 200x200. That's the source image size (the link you put in your profile).
Chat Box
The cbox is a privelege so don't abuse it. No cussing in the cbox. No disprespecting anyone; new members, old members, staff, or guests. You may use 100x100 icons, hough you must keep them pg-13. Do not request others to post in your thread. If you do you will be warned automatically. As that says you've not read the rules. Do not spam. If you request others to join your site you will be warned. This goes for pm also.
3 strikes
We have a three strikes and your out system. If you break any of the rules then I will warn you about them once. Again, and you will get a warning on your profile, do it again, and a second warning. A third time and you will be banned. The time of your ban is based on what you did. If it's godmodding/minimodding/powerplaying or another posting rule it will be three days. If it's worse like plagiarism then you will be banned permanently. Any other rule and we'll let you know.
