There are several ranks to choose from in the clans.
Leader: Obviously, he leads the clan. He or she does this by creating patrols, watching over all the cats, and defending it to his/her death. They have nine lives to start with, which they slowly loose to either sickness or injury. Starclan takes their birth name and put a 'star' at the end of end to signify their bond with starclan.
Deputy: The deputy is a second in command. They help the leader with their duties; creating patrols, watching over clans, fighting, etc. They must of had one other apprentice before and must be at least twenty moons. Their names stay the same as their warrior names.
Medicine Cat: A medicine cat is one that has a unique bond with starclan, often having dreams or visions with them. They are responsible for the health of their clan, interpreting dreams to the leader, and may or may not give advice to the leader. They hold alot of respect from others and usually when they say something it is not unheard.
Medicine Cat Apprentice: At six moons old if the cat wants to follow in the path of healing then they will become apprentice to the clan medicine cat. He or she must learn everything to know so when the current medicine cat dies or quits they can take over with confidence. Their kit name is changed so they now have 'paw' at the end, to signify their journey to become a medicine cat.
Warrior: The warriors are the main strength (besides the leader) of the clan. They are responsible for defending it at all costs. They become warriors at the youngest of fifteen moons. Their names are changed to a number of ends, which signify their personality or look.
Apprentice: An apprentice is a cat, older than six moons, that trains under another warrior. He or she will learn how to defend borders, fight, and protect the clan. Their name ends in 'paw' to signify their journey.
Queen: A shecat which is baring or is nursing kits. She will become a warrior again after her kits become apprentices. Sometimes a queen will stay in the nursery to help other queens, even if their kits are apprenticed. Must be older than fifteen moons.
Kits: Cats younger than six moons. They stay with the queens and are not to leave the camp. Their names end in kits to signify their age.
Elders: The wise ones of the clan. They have years of experience, which they often share, as well as stories, which they share as well. Cats usually respect them, because they've lived long enough to achieve this title.
Captive: Another clan cat who has trespassed onto the clan's territory. This doesn't need to be a clan cat. He/She may be a loner or rogue or even a kittypet.

Skypaw is a very energetic kit, who has been known to fight to the end or until he collapses. His warrior name might be Skyfire, to symbolize his undying bravery and strength.
Shrewpaw is known to be timid, but very endearing and compassionate. She often will help out even another clan's apprentices and kits. She may be called Shrewwhisker, due to her sensitivity.
Dirtpaw is very spirited, always doing what his heart tells him to. He will help kits without question, but if the time comes for him to help another clan he will do it. He believes, though he folllows the warrior code most of the time, that you must do what's right, even if it's wrong. He may be called Dirtheart, due to his willingness to do anything for justice.
